How can we register?

The registration process can be found here. If you would like to apply, please e-mail a copy (pdf or equivalent) of your valid passport or identity card, school transcripts, and health and civil liability insurance to admissions@baiwinter.com

When does the session start, and when does it end?

The Winter Session will be held February 5-14, 2024.

What is the typical session day like?

The organization of the session is dependent on each day’s activities. Weekday classes are generally held for three hours in the morning, and four in the afternoon. The program agenda will be published early this Fall.

How are the dates of the Winter School session organized with the exams at ZHAW?

The Winter School session dates has been coordinated with the ZHAW adminstration. We will continue to monitor the schedule to ensure that the students can attend the full session.

Do we have to book the flights and hotel on our own?

Participants are free to book their own flights and hotels. We have negotiated significant discounts in two hotels in Prague, but participants may secure bookings independently.

Do I need a visa for your trip to the Czech Republic?

The Czech Republic (official short name: Czechia) is a party to the Schengen Agreement. This means that U.S. citizens may enter the Czech Republic for up to 90 days for tourist or short course purposes without a visa.

How is the weather in February?

Prague weather in February is relatively cold with an average daily temperature of 2°C with the slight possibility of things warming up to around 11°C towards the end of the month. The city is located on the Vltava river in the Czech Republic, though you’ll have between nine and eleven hours of sunlight per day.

When will the Summer School Site be updated?

The BAI Summer School will be held from July 2-11, 2024 in Anglet (next to Bayonne, France). The summer school website will be updated on or before November 7th.
