The Alumni Track

The Alumni Track at the BAI Winter School at Caltech offers a unique opportunity for alumni to expand their professional networks while participating in the Winter School session on contextual AI in Pasadena, CA.

At Caltech, you'll explore how agentic systems can be enhanced by a deeper understanding of the context behind specific business challenges. Additionally, you'll enjoy exclusive company visits and networking events with Caltech's faculty and students.

Organized by the alumni themselves, this track is designed to help you discover the research, applications, and culture that Southern California has to offer. Alongside working professionals attending the session, the BAI Winter School at Caltech provides an ideal environment to advance your career today while gaining insights into the future of contextual AI.

The Schedule

The Alumni Track will run concurrently with the BAI Winter School from February 3-12, 2025.

This track balances social and educational activities. Core sessions in the mornings will delve into the subjects of agentic systems, including a seminar on contextual AI, a workshop on building agentic systems that can sense, communicate, and act, and workshops on applying these systems in production, transportation, and communication.

Special alumni activities include a guest workshop on enhancing the explainability of AI models using MLOps and an evening tour of the ArtCenter to explore their work on the UX/UI challenges specific to agentic systems.

Social Activities

Participants will enjoy welcome and farewell dinners with faculty and students from the various tracks. Planned cultural visits in the afternoons include tours of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Caltech research laboratories, Venice Beach, Central Coast wineries, Universal Studios, and a professional sporting event.

More information on the social activities can be found here.
