Social Activities
The Basque Country is an opportunity to exercise the mind, the spirit and the body. From surfing to volleyball, from hiking to cycling, from a trip around the golf course to a trip along up (or down) the Atlantic coast, these activities could easily lead to an Endless Summer....
Basque Cooking Class
The Basque region’s world famous cuisine includes meats and fish grilled over hot coals, marmitako and lamb stews, pintxos (Basque tapas), Idiazabal sheep's cheese, txakoli, and Basque cider.
A Basque cooking class will be offered by Besteak and organized by Jean-Baptiste Molères.
Cycling
Whether you’re trying to get to school, wanting to test the best known “cols” of the Tour de France, or to enjoy the Véloodyssée, there will be multiple opportunities to cycle during your stay this summer.
City, racing and e-bikes can be rented on a daily or weekly basis from a number of local shops. We have rented from “Les Roues de Lilou” the past two summers - and have been very happy with their service.
Please note that bike rentals are quite popular during the summer months. Please reserve early if you would like to a rental.
